Augustine Boakye’s standout performance helped Wolfsberger AC secure an impressive victory over WSG Tirol in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The former WAFA player played a key role in the match, delivering two assists as Wolfsberger cruised to a resounding 4-1 win on home turf.
Boakye set up Thierno Ballo to open the scoring for the home team after just eight minutes into the game and then provided the assist for Ballo’s second goal in the 30th minute.
Wolfsberger continued their dominance in the second half, with Bernhard Zimmermann adding a third goal just five minutes after the break. Tirol managed to reduce the deficit in the 75th minute, but Adis Jasic’s goal sealed the win for the host.
Boakye’s performance this season has been exceptional, with six assists, the highest in the league, and the highest goal involvement (11) so far. He also leads in big chances created in the league with nine.
