Ghana international Joseph Paintsil has made the move to the United States of America to join Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy. The Black Stars attacker’s transfer to LA Galaxy was confirmed by Footballghana.com.
This move comes after intense interest from several clubs in Europe and in the MLS, all vying for the signature of the forward due to his impressive performances for KRC Genk in Belgium.
The 26-year-old winger is currently in Los Angeles undergoing medical tests before finalizing his contract with the club. Paintsil is expected to sign a four-year deal with LA Galaxy for a transfer fee around €9 million.
Last season, the former Tema Youth star scored a total of 32 goals in 39 matches for Genk, demonstrating his prolific goal-scoring abilities. This season, he has remained a key player with eleven goal involvements in 23 outings, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.
