Ghanaian defender Derrick Arthur Kohn has officially begun his journey with Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray, following his first training session with the team.
The club announced the completion of the deal to sign the German-born player from Hannover 96 on Thursday, February 8.
According to an official statement released by Galatasaray, a transfer fee of 3,350,000 euros along with a conditional bonus of 300,000 euros has been agreed upon with Hannover 96.
The defender has signed a contract with Galatasaray until the end of the 2025/2026 season, with the option to extend it until the end of the 2027/2028 season.
As part of the deal, Kohn will receive a net seasonal fee of 300,000 euros for the 2023/2024 season, 450,000 euros for the 2024/2025 season and 500,000 euros for the 2025/2026 season, as well as a one-time signing fee of 50,000 euros.
The player, who is of Ghanaian descent, is looking to quickly adapt and compete for a spot in the starting eleven at his new club. Galatasaray also shared pictures of Kohn’s first training session on their official social media accounts.
