Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has begun mobility exercises as part of his recovery from an injury sustained during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ashimeru traveled to Ivory Coast as part of Ghana’s 27-man squad for the 34th edition of the tournament and put in a strong performance, earning praise from fans. However, he was unable to play every minute in the group stage due to injuries.
After returning to RSC Anderlecht with the injury, Ashimeru has now started mobility exercises as part of his rehabilitation. A video posted online shows him working on his recovery.
Reports indicate that the midfielder should be able to rejoin his teammates on the field in three weeks. Unfortunately, this means he will miss several games for his club in the Belgian Pro League during this time.
We wish Ashimeru a swift and full recovery as he works hard to get back to full fitness and return to the pitch for both club and country.
