Ernest Nuamah, a Ghanaian international, showcased an outstanding performance on Friday night as he played a pivotal role in Olympique Lyon’s victory over OGC Nice in the French Ligue 1.
The skilled winger earned a spot in the starting lineup for his team in the home match, which took place at Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
During the Round 22 encounter of the ongoing French Ligue 1 campaign, Ernest Nuamah provided the crucial assist for the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute.
He set up Orel Mangala to score, giving Lyon the lead to carry into the first-half break.
Despite OGC Nice’s spirited efforts after the break, they were unable to find a way back and ultimately succumbed to a narrow defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
During the game on Friday night, Ernest Nuamah played for 79 minutes before being replaced by Rayan Cherki.
Throughout this season, the Black Stars winger has made 18 appearances for Olympique Lyon, contributing one goal and two assists to his team’s success.
