Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, the newly appointed Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, has set out his vision for the future of Ghanaian football.
Following the departure of German Bernhard Liepert, Mintah has stepped into the role and is eager to make an impact on the national teams.
Prior to his promotion, Mintah held the position of Director of Coaching Education within the Ghana Football Association.
In an interview with the FA’s official YouTube channel, Mintah outlined his desire to instill a consistent playing style across all of Ghana’s national teams, with a focus on possession as the foundation of his philosophy.
“The legacy I would like to leave is to have a Ghanaian playing like a Ghanaian,” Mintah stated during the interview.
He explained, “This means that we possess the ball to attack and to defend, and we transition based on the principles of play in different moments of the game. I want to see Ghana playing good football, both in attack and in defense, while still achieving positive results.”
With a strong emphasis on quality football and successful results, Mintah is determined to leave a lasting impact on Ghanaian football during his tenure as Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association.
