The President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Simeon-Okraku is confident that the association’s significant investment in grassroots football and regional leagues will yield positive results in the near future.

According to Okraku, the GFA has been putting a lot of resources into colts football, the U17 league, and lower leagues, including the provision of free bibs and footballs to support these initiatives.

Addressing the media at the GFA meet the press event, Okraku expressed his satisfaction with the progress and efforts being made by the FA to promote development at the grassroots level.

He further added, “We are committed to investing in the third Division, Second Division, and the Women’s Division One Leagues, which we have already begun. Our recent purchase of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) worth of footballs has been distributed to all 10 regions as part of our grassroots football development initiative.”

“We are confident that these investments will soon translate into improved performances at both the club and national levels,” he concluded.
