The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has made a promise to provide buses to clubs to help ease transportation issues. Speaking to the media in Kumasi, Okraku stated that plans are in the works to invest in the purchase of buses for the clubs.
Okraku assured that the strategy will be fully implemented at the end of the ongoing 2023/24 football season. “The GFA has identified a big problem with our clubs, the lack of decent transportation for our clubs and I am very sure you do remember our promise to invest in thirty buses for our clubs, this strategy is underway will take full effect at the end of this current football season,” he said.
He added, “The twelve promised buses representing the first tranche will be ready for our clubs to pick up. The idea is to strategically invest in the purchase of thirty buses for our clubs; these buses will be used by clubs in the Ghana Premier League, Division One League and Women’s Premier League.”
The initiative will benefit clubs in the Ghana Premier League as well as those in the Division One League and Women’s Premier League. This move by the GFA is aimed at providing much-needed support to the clubs and addressing transportation challenges.
