The Ghana Football Association’s Competitions department has made significant changes to the schedule of the remaining rounds of the 2023/24 Women’s FA Cup matches. This decision was made to accommodate the Black Princesses’ participation in the upcoming 13th All African Games, which is set to take place in Accra from March 8th to March 23rd, 2024.
The round of 16 fixtures will still take place as originally scheduled, from March 1st to 4th, 2024. However, the quarter-final matches, which were initially planned for a different timeline, will now be played between April 29th and May 3rd, 2024. Additionally, the semi-final stage has been rescheduled to May 3rd, 2024, with the final now set for the weekend of June 7th to 10th, 2024.
The Black Princesses of Ghana have been drawn in group A alongside Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia in the Women’s draw for the 13th African Games, Accra 2023. The draw took place in Abidjan on February 1, 2024. Ghana will kick off its campaign against Tanzania before facing Uganda and Ethiopia in the other Group A games.
All relevant parties are urged to take note of these changes to ensure a smooth execution of the Women’s FA Cup competition. Below are the updated fixtures for reference.
