Forge FC coach Bobby Smyrniotis hails Nana Ampomah’s signing

Canadian Premier League team Forge FC recently announced the signing of Ghanaian winger Nana Ampomah.

The 28-year-old has secured a multi-year contract with the team, coming from German Bundesliga 2 club Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Reacting to the news, Forge FC coach Bobby Smyrniotis expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “We are excited to have a player as experienced as Nana join the club. He is an explosive attacker who has played and contributed across Europe’s top leagues and competitions. His presence on the pitch and ability to generate offense adds a unique dimension to our attack that will surely make an immediate impact.”

Ampomah brings with him a wealth of experience and is expected to play a crucial role for Forge FC as they aim to make an impact in the upcoming campaign. He will be available for selection in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Prior to joining Forge FC, Ampomah also played for Belgian side Waasland-Beveren, adding to his credentials as a valuable addition to the Canadian team.
