Arsenal has received a huge boost as Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey returned to training on Tuesday morning ahead of their Champions League fixture.
The 30-year-old has been sidelined since October due to a hamstring injury, which also caused him to miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast.
After recovering from the injury, Partey suffered a setback and was unable to participate in Arsenal’s home game against Liverpool.
Now, with his return to training, the former Atletico Madrid player is expected to make an appearance in the Champions League Round of 16 first-leg game against FC Porto in Portugal on Wednesday night.
Partey has only made four appearances for the Gunners so far and is yet to play in the Champions League this season. However, his return to training is a positive sign for Arsenal as they prepare to face Porto and Newcastle United in the coming days.
