Reports have emerged linking Borussia Dortmund coaching staff member Otto Addo to a potential return as the head coach of the Ghana National Football Team, also known as the Black Stars.

Addo previously managed the Black Stars in 2022, leading the team to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a crucial win over Nigeria in the final playoff round.

However, following Ghana’s exit at the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Addo stepped down from his role, leading to the appointment of coach Chris Hughton as his successor.

Despite high expectations, Hughton’s tenure with the Black Stars was not successful, resulting in his dismissal after Ghana’s group-stage exit at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations last month.

Now, there are reports suggesting that Addo could be set for a second stint as the head coach of the Black Stars, with discussions reportedly ongoing within the Ghana Football Association leadership. It is even speculated that Addo could be handed the job before the end of February.
