The Ghana women’s U20 national team, known as the Black Princesses, will embark on a 10-day tour in France starting on Saturday, February 10.
This tour comes as a result of a partnership agreement between the Ghana Football Association and the French Football Federation.
Following the agreement, Vice President of the Ghana FA, Mark Addo, expressed his excitement about the initiative, stating that it is in line with the GFA’s strategy to elevate women’s football in the country.
“This strategic move is not only about participation but also about promoting excellence on the global stage, as well as strengthening the cultural and economic relationship between Ghana and France,” Addo said at the French Embassy.
He also highlighted the progress of women’s football in Ghana, citing the Black Princesses’ qualification for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia as evidence of this development.
According to Addo, the benefits of the program go beyond football, focusing on building cultural bridges and fostering mutual understanding while showcasing football as a unifier.
The Black Princesses are set to depart from Accra for France on Saturday, February 10, 2024, and will remain in the country until February 17, 2024.
