Renowned Ghana Premier League-winning coach Samuel Boadu is set to embark on a new chapter in his coaching career, with reports indicating his imminent move to Berekum Chelsea on a one-year contract.
Following his departure from Hearts of Oak last season, Boadu has been keeping busy with national team duties as well as coaching Cornerstone FC in the lower division.
Berekum Chelsea, in need of a permanent head coach after parting ways with Christopher Ennin, have identified Boadu as their top choice for the role.
While initial talks suggested Annor Walker as a potential candidate, sources close to the club have disclosed that negotiations with Boadu are progressing well.
Boadu’s impressive coaching resume speaks for itself, having guided Hearts of Oak to a league and cup double in his debut season and securing the Ghanaian FA Cup in his second year.
Prior to his stint at Hearts of Oak, he successfully transformed Medeama into a strong title contender before his departure in 2021.
Reports suggest that an official announcement regarding Samuel Boadu’s appointment at Berekum Chelsea could be made as early as this week.
