African Games men’s football tournament: Ghana to face Benin, two other countries in group A

The draw for the men’s football tournament at the upcoming African Games has been held successfully today, Thursday, February 1.

Host Ghana has been drawn to compete with Benin in Group A of the tournament.

Joining Ghana and Benin in Group A are The Gambia and Congo.

Group B will see Nigeria competing alongside South Sudan, Senegal, Uganda, and Tunisia.

The football tournament for the African Games will feature the U20 teams of the participating countries.

Ghana’s Black Satellites are currently training at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram as they continue preparations for the African Games in March.

U20 Head Coach Desmond Ofei and the technical team are working with 30 players to prepare for the competition.

The 13^th edition of the African Games will start in Ghana from Friday, March 8 – Saturday, March 23, 2024.
