South Africa head coach, Hugo Broos, has assured that his team will be ready for the semi-final clash against Nigeria in the upcoming week.
Following their victory over Cape Verde on penalties in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), South Africa is gearing up to face Nigeria in the semi-finals.
In anticipation of the match, Coach Hugo Broos acknowledged that the upcoming game will be a challenging one. The seasoned coach emphasized that his team, Bafana Bafana, has nothing to lose and will make thorough preparations for the game.
“The semi-final will be tough against Nigeria’s great players but we have nothing to lose now. The players will recover and prepare, but staying focused is essential,” Coach Hugo Broos said.
The much-anticipated semi-final encounter between Nigeria and South Africa is set to take place on Wednesday, February 7.
Both national teams have had ample time to prepare and are optimistic about their prospects of securing a victory to advance to the finals of the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.
