The Black Stars of Ghana have concluded their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign with a disappointing 18th place finish.

The West African nation, one of the 24 teams in the tournament, had high hopes of securing its fifth title. However, Ghana’s journey was cut short in the group stage after finishing 3rd in Group B with only two points.

Ghana suffered a 1-2 loss to Cape Verde and managed 2-2 draws against Egypt and Mozambique, leading to their early exit from the competition.
