Ghana’s rising star, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, has revealed that he looked up to Black Stars captain Andre Ayew while growing up.
Issahaku shared that he has always admired Ayew’s skills and his love for the game of football.
Speaking to LCFC, Issahaku said, “When I was coming up, I looked up to Andre Ayew. I liked how he was playing and how much passion he had for football.
“There were some players who played in the local league that I liked too, but Ayew was my idol. I was really watching him. It was his playing style and his personality as well.”
He added, “He was always having passion for the game. He always gave his all to the team, and at that time, I just loved him. I wanted to be like him, and now I play with him for Ghana.”
Since making a move to Leicester City FC on loan from Sporting Club, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has honed his skills and is now a key player in the team’s attacking lineup.
He is working alongside his teammates to ensure Leicester City secures a return to the English Premier League.
