Zambia’s Shepolopolo squad has been announced by head coach Bruce Mwape in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics Qualifiers against Ghana’s Black Queens.
The first match between the two teams is set to take place in Kumasi on Friday, February 23rd, followed by a return fixture at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola five days later.
Many players who helped Zambia qualify for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) against Angola have been included in Mwape’s squad.
Notably, striker and athlete Kabange Mupopo from Green Buffaloes has made a return to the Shepolopolo squad after an eight-year absence.
If Ghana secures a victory over Zambia, they will progress to the fourth and final round, where they will compete in two home-and-away matches, vying for one of the two coveted spots at the Olympic Games.
