The Ghanaian Futsal national team has delivered an exceptional performance, securing their place in the 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Cote D’Ivoire with a resounding 6-2 victory.

Following a 4-0 deficit from the first leg in Cape Coast, Ghana was determined to mount a comeback and, under the strategic guidance of Coach Philip Boakye, the team made tactical adjustments, which ultimately paid off.

During the second leg in Abidjan, Ghana displayed an impressive performance, scoring six goals to secure qualification for the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations at the expense of Cote D’Ivoire.

This victory was especially significant as it was enough to overturn the 4-0 defeat suffered in the previous encounter.

This achievement marks Ghana’s return to the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations after a hiatus since 1996, when they lost to Egypt in the final.

The 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place in Rabat, Morocco, from April 8 to 17, 2024. Moreover, the top three finishers of the tournament will earn coveted berths for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan, representing the Confederation of African Football.
