The Black Satellites, coached by Desmond Ofei, are gearing up for the 13th African Games set to take place in Accra from March 8-23, 2023, with a focus on excellence.
As part of their rigorous preparations, the team has been engaged in a series of test matches and is leaving no stone unturned in their quest for success.
Coach Ofei has also revealed a proactive approach to fine-tuning his squad’s prowess, with plans to participate in additional friendlies, including a notable encounter against Cote D’Ivoire.
The Black Satellites, who have been drawn into Group A alongside Benin, Congo, and the Gambia, are well aware of the challenges that lie ahead.
“We will play a few high profile friendlies hopefully against some Ghana Premier League teams. We are also awaiting confirmation to play a friendly match against Cote D’Ivoire before the tournament begins,” Coach Ofei said.
“We have taken the challenge of representing our country in front at home in our strides. It is a positive thing for us and we have taken the pressure that comes with it as a motivation,” he added.
