13th African Games: The boys want to show the nation what they can do – Black Satellites coach Desmond Ofei

Black Satellites head coach Desmond Ofei is oozing confidence and excitement ahead of the 13th African Games competition.

Ofei recently provided an exclusive update on his team’s preparations, giving fans a peek into the fervent determination within the squad as they gear up for the fierce clashes ahead.

Drawn into Group A, the Black Satellites are set to face tough opponents in Benin, Congo, and the Gambia. The stage is set for intense battles as each team vies for domination and the prestigious title in Accra from March 8-23, 2023.

Coach Ofei expressed, “We are on schedule, and in the coming weeks, we will focus on fine-tuning. We have a strong pool of individual quality players; now it’s about assembling a cohesive team to compete.”

He continued, “The boys are in high spirits and are eager to showcase their abilities to the nation. With players representing various clubs and leagues, including the Premier League, Division One, and even Division Two, there is a palpable excitement to kickstart the tournament.”

“We have a talented squad, and we are looking forward to building a formidable team for the competition. We are excited to get started,” Ofei declared.
