Member of Parliament (MP) for Akim Swedru, Kennedy Osei Nyarko, emerged as the winner of the January 27, 2024 elections, securing his position as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the upcoming 2024 polls.
Nyarko received 194 of the total votes cast, defeating Controller and Accountant General, Kwasi Kwaning Bosompem, who polled 94 votes, and Jerome, who received 10 votes.
This election gained significant attention due to the status of the Controller and Accountant General and the debate surrounding his eligibility to run for office.
