The buck stops with the president – Akufo-Addo

The President of Ghana has supported the statement made by his Vice President, affirming that his role as the Chairman of the Economic Management Committee is only advisory.

During his address at the State of the Nation in Parliament on February 28, 2024, the President emphasized that ultimately, he is responsible for the decisions and outcomes of his government.

He highlighted the advisory nature of Cabinet members and Ministers of State, stating that while they provide guidance, the President bears the ultimate responsibility for the successes and failures of the government.
