The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern region has temporarily halted all media activities, including radio and TV appearances, following the passing of its member Issahaku Abdul Latif.
Latif, a former NPP Communication Director and the Northern Regional Director of National Health Insurance, passed away on February 19, 2024, at the Tamale Teaching Hospital after a brief illness.
The late Latif will be laid to rest today, February 20, 2024, following arrangements made by his family and the NPP in the region.
In a show of solidarity, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and other political parties have also suspended their media activities to express their sympathies for the NPP and the family of the deceased.
The entire region mourns the loss of Issahaku Abdul Latif, and this temporary suspension of media activities serves as a mark of respect for his contributions to the NPP and the Northern region.
