Man demands GH¢320K damages after being told he is not father of 16-year-old ‘daughter’

Kwadwo Danso recently found out that he is not the biological father of his 16-year-old daughter.

This news came as a shock to him, as he had been in a relationship with the girl’s mother, Akua Ataa, for almost two decades and had accepted and taken responsibility for the girl from the moment Akua Ataa got pregnant.

Rumours had been circulating that Kwadwo Danso was not the biological father of the girl because she resembled another man who had travelled abroad for better opportunities. Seeking to settle the paternity dispute, Kwadwo Danso brought the matter to Nhyira FM’s Obra show in Kumasi, where he requested a paternity test.

Unfortunately, the DNA test result ruled him out as the biological father of the girl, confirming that she was the daughter of the other man at a 99.9% rate. This revelation left Kwadwo Danso in tears.

In light of this, Kwadwo has consulted his uncle and decided to seek compensation of GH¢250,000 for the 16 years he has spent caring for the child. The grandmother of the girl has pleaded for a reduction in the compensation, but the matter remains unresolved.

Akua Ataa, the girl’s mother, claimed that she only found out about the girl’s true paternity when she was eight years old, and had been receiving financial support from the biological father without disclosing this information to Kwadwo Danso.

The biological father has yet to comment on the situation, leaving the matter pending and unresolved.
