A lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Dr Kwasi Amakye Boateng, has expressed his belief that there are some individuals within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who are actively working to ensure that the party loses the upcoming elections and goes into opposition.
Dr. Boateng is concerned that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is trying to maintain control and influence within the party even after his time in office has ended. According to the lecturer, this has raised worries among key members of the party who are hoping for an electoral defeat in order to break free from Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s grip on the party.
He stated, “I believe strongly that there is an attempt on the part of Nana Addo to control the party even after he has left office. Some key members have seen this and are hoping the political party loses the elections so they completely cut off Nana Addo’s influence.”
