Former President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state of Ghana and criticized President Akufo-Addo for mismanaging the country.
During his Building Ghana Tour of the Eastern Region, Mr. Mahama asserted that the country bears no resemblance to the state he handed over to President Akufo-Addo.
“My brothers, looking at the state of Ghana today, this isn’t the country I handed over to Nana Akufo-Addo on 7th January, 2017. The country has collapsed,” he said.
He also criticized the alleged politicization of the premix and outboard motor distribution process to fishermen at landing beaches by the New Patriotic Party government and pledged that if re-elected, his administration would implement proper measures to ensure the effective and non-political distribution of premix to benefit fishermen.
Mr Mahama highlighted what he claimed to be the deprivation of the people of Asuogyaman and other regions of developmental projects under the current government’s leadership. He emphasized that debt has swallowed the country, and no developmental projects have been done since the NPP came into power.
