Ghanaian rapper Medikal has recently dropped a new track titled “My Story,” in which he seems to address the issues surrounding his split from his estranged wife, Fella Makafui.

The song delves into his emotions amid the controversies surrounding his marriage, with lyrics like “As I komot them dey put poison for my cup…person wey visit me for prison, take me go court…”

In the song, Medikal also expresses his worries about losing his assets, including their shared home in East Legon, as a result of the divorce. Despite the tumultuous situation, he finds solace in his faith and believes that God is keeping him strong.

This release comes after Medikal leveled serious accusations against Fella Makafui, including claims that she underwent tummy tuck surgeries to promote her slim tea business. The rapper alleged that he footed the bill for these procedures in Nigeria and Turkey, spending over €25,000 in total. He also accused her of physical assault and property damage.

With a child together, Medikal and Fella Makafui have attempted to keep their personal issues private due to their family connections. However, the situation has escalated beyond their control, leading Fella Makafui to formally petition the CID of the Ghana Police Service to investigate her ex-husband. She alleges that his actions, including spreading false information, have endangered her life and violated certain legal codes.

In response, Fella Makafui announced that she has initiated legal proceedings to safeguard herself and their daughter from Medikal. She is choosing to handle the matter through the appropriate legal channels rather than airing their grievances in public.
