Rapper Amerado, also known as Derrick Sarfo Kantanka in the entertainment world, has reaffirmed his commitment to rap music in a recent interview.
During a chat with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Amerado expressed that the name ‘Amerado’ has always been associated with rap music, and he has no intentions of turning his back on it.
He emphasized that even though he has dabbled in singing for exposure to a wider audience, rap music is where his true passion lies.
Amerado stated, “Everyone who knows me knows that I can never turn my back on rap music. Amerado has always been known as a rapper and I am always going to stick to that.”
Despite exploring singing as a means to connect with a new network of fans, Amerado clarified that he has not made more money from music compared to rap. He acknowledged that both rap and singing have played vital roles in his career, with singing opening doors to a different audience.
When prompted to choose between rap music and singing, Amerado decisively chose rap. He explained, “The fact that I sing or rap does not mean I will forgo one but if I choose between them, it will be rap over singing.”
