CEO Theresa Ayoade recently announced the organization’s intention to establish a Hall of Fame Museum to commemorate the milestone.

The journey towards the redesigned Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) kicked off with the unveiling of nominees, leading up to the anticipated awards ceremony on June 1, 2024. At the launch event for the 25th-anniversary celebrations, Madam Ayoade shared details about the plans for the festivities, emphasizing the significance of the Ghana Music Hall of Fame project.

According to Madam Ayoade, the Ghana Music Hall of Fame will serve as a museum to honor the country’s musical history, with a special focus on the Ghana Music Awards’ journey over the past 25 years. The organization is currently in the process of raising funds to bring this project to life before the grand event in 2024.

“We envision the Ghana Music Hall of Fame as an important cultural asset that will showcase the evolution of Ghanaian music and contribute to the country’s tourism offerings,” Madam Ayoade remarked.

The museum is expected to open approximately a month before the main anniversary event to give music enthusiasts a unique experience and celebrate the rich musical heritage of Ghana.
