Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo, continues to show his unwavering support for the creative arts industry despite his new roles as a Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister designate for Food and Agriculture.

Speaking at the launch of Celestine Donkor’s 11th Celestial Praiz concert on February 6, 2025, John expressed his admiration for the gospel musician’s work and assured her of his ongoing support.

Despite his busy schedule in agriculture and politics, John emphasized his commitment to the arts sector and his identity as a creative individual. He highlighted the importance of nurturing and developing the local arts industry, emphasizing that if Ghanaians do not support their own creatives, who else will?

John Dumelo, who was recently appointed as the Deputy Minister Designate for Food and Agriculture, has long been involved in agriculture and has been vocal about encouraging youth participation in the sector. He currently represents the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in Parliament.

The multi-talented actor’s dedication to both the creative arts and agriculture underscores his belief in the economic and cultural contributions of these sectors to the development of Ghana.
