Friends star Jennifer Aniston gets emotional in Variety interview after question about sitcom

Jennifer Aniston recently became emotional during an interview when asked about her time on the hit show Friends.

The beloved sitcom not only launched Aniston’s career but also that of her late co-star, Matthew Perry.

Aniston was part of the ensemble cast from 1994-2004 alongside Perry, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc.

The show was a massive success, dominating prime time, winning awards, and attracting large audiences throughout its decade-long run on NBC.

During an interview for Variety’s Actors On Actors series, Aniston had to collect herself when the topic of watching Friends came up.

The actress started to get emotional, especially when it seemed to reference Perry, who tragically passed away unexpectedly at his home last October at the age of 54.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Perry’s death as an accident after he was found face down in his swimming pool by his assistant.

Although Aniston was visibly emotional, she pressed on and reflected on the show’s enduring popularity.

She mentioned how Friends was turning 30 this year and expressed gratitude for the long-lasting impact the show has had on viewers.

Aniston also shared that the cast members still keep in touch and have a special bond, describing it as a “family forever.”

The interview provided a touching insight into Aniston’s feelings toward Friends and the cherished memories she shared with her co-stars.

It’s clear that the show holds a significant place in her heart and the emotional response she had serves as a testament to the lasting impact of Friends on both the cast and audiences worldwide.
