The CEO of Eat by Noor, Rashidatu Alhassan, has emphasized the importance of facing challenges in the business world.

She believes that challenges are necessary for a balanced business, but the rewards should outweigh the obstacles in order to achieve success.

Alhassan explained that her childhood memories of familiar flavors inspired her to start her business. Growing up in Tamale, she struggled to find the delicious and nutritious foods she was accustomed to when she moved to Accra.

This motivated her to enter the food sector by preparing Northern-based raw foods and other Ghanaian delicacies.

One of the challenges she faced was not being able to find one of her favorite Northern meals, “Wasawasa,” in Accra. This led her to start a business selling the traditional dish to bring a taste of home to herself and others in the same situation.

Despite her initial uncertainty about whether people from other regions and nationalities would enjoy the dish, Alhassan was thrilled to receive positive reviews.

Her business, which started from scratch, has now expanded to serve customers across Africa, Europe, the UK, America, and some parts of Asia.

While Alhassan initially had to manage everything on her own, she has since received help and support, leading to the flourishing of her business beyond her expectations. Through determination and hard work, she has turned her passion for Northern flavors into a successful and thriving venture.
