Ghanaian singer Camidoh has caused a stir on social media after appearing on the BET Awards red carpet with winter-ish apparel.

During last Sunday’s event, the ‘Sugarcane’ hitmaker paired a turtleneck slim fit long sleeve with a red suit and wrapped with a fur coat.

His fashion choice prompted mixed reactions from fans and social media fashion police, with the majority telling him it’s ‘summer’ in the United States where the event happened.

“Ghana artists never go learn when and where. It’s mad hot out here daaaamn bro,” Instagram user @afrodrums_jn said.

“Outfit lit but is summer baby. But half the men wearing leather, he will be fine,” user @ms.ciana__vlog said.

Another user @moda_st.patrick said: “It’s summer, not winter I beg. What’s with the outfit.”

But many people defended his outfit.

“It’s fashion and what u people see on him is for photography pictures the sun is on and the atmosphere is cool/cold it’s beautiful,” Instagram user @jay2junior said.

“They’re doing this for the camera and some few video shoots! Not as tho they don’t know it’s summer !! Cho! Who said they’re walking around with these outfits! Sabi people,” user @kukuwaa_adu wrote.

Another user @naya_bos added: “You guys don’t know how this place works. It’s hot outside but it’s freezing inside with the AC and all. These people do NOT know how to regulate temperatures inside (at least from my experience) my first time coming here it was summer, like really hot out but in the classrooms, it was freezing like I just couldn’t.

The same thing happens again, I go to work and it’s hot outside and they’re freezing us inside. The probability that although it’s hot out it’s going to be freezing in there is 98%.”
