American singer Trey Songz recently reached a settlement with a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her at a Los Angeles party in 2016.

The woman, known as Jane Doe in the $25 million lawsuit she filed in 2023, agreed to settle the lawsuit for an undisclosed amount. This settlement has resulted in the cancellation of a court date that was previously scheduled for September 16.

According to the terms of the settlement agreement, the case will be dismissed upon the satisfactory completion of specified conditions within 45 days of the settlement date. A formal request for dismissal is expected to be filed no later than June 10, 2024.

The lawsuit, filed in February of last year, implicated Trey Songz, Atlantic Records, the singer’s manager Kevin Lilies, and 300 Entertainment.

The allegations claimed that the singer had sexually assaulted the woman, committing acts of gender violence, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.

In response to the lawsuit, a representative for Trey Songz denied the allegations, stating that the attorney who drafted the suit had been accused of attempting to pay a woman to falsely accuse the singer.

The representative expressed disappointment in the situation, emphasizing the impact on genuine victims of sexual assault.
