Famed British-Canadian actor Alan Scarfe, known for his roles in Star Trek and Lethal Weapon, has passed away at the age of 77.
Scarfe, who also appeared in the film Seven Days, succumbed to colon cancer at his home in Canada.
The veteran actor breathed his last on April 28 in Quebec, as announced by his family.
Scarfe carved a niche for himself by portraying two Romulan characters in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
His repertoire also includes the role of Magistrate Augris in a Star Trek: Voyager episode and an appearance in Lethal Weapon III alongside Mel Gibson.
Survived by his children, including daughter Antonia “Tosia” and son-in-law Austin, who provided care during his final days, Scarfe also leaves behind his son, Jonathan Scarfe.
In his obituary, it was mentioned that the actor would have been “lost” without the dedicated care of Tosia and Austin before his passing.
Notably, Scarfe tied the knot with Barbara March, who portrayed Lursa in the iconic Star Trek series, before her demise in 2019.
He was born in Harpenden, England, and later relocated to Canada with his family, comprising his parents and brothers Colin and Brian. Sadly, both of his brothers succumbed to cancer.
Having pursued drama education at the prestigious LAMDA school upon returning to the UK, Scarfe featured in over 100 theatre productions and also dabbled in directing plays.
In his later years, the seasoned actor transitioned to writing and garnered accolades for his debut novel, The Revelation of Jack the Ripper, in 2019.
Following his marriage to Barbara and welcoming Tonia, the family relocated to Los Angeles in 1989, where he appeared in prominent films like Lethal Weapon III and Double Impact.
