Sean Kingston, known for hit songs like “Beautiful Girls,” is currently behind bars in Broward County, Florida on charges of fraud.
According to records from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the artist was arrested on Sunday on various charges including fraud, trafficking stolen property, criminal use of personal identification info, grand theft, and organized scheme to defraud.
This arrest comes after Kingston and his mother were charged in connection with an alleged fraud operation totaling approximately $1 million in goods. Prior to this, a home linked to Kingston was raided, leading to public speculation and scrutiny.
In response to the allegations, Kingston took to Instagram to address the situation, stating, “People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother! My lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”
When contacted for comment, Kingston’s representative declined to provide any information at this time. It is unclear how this legal issue will impact Kingston’s career moving forward.
This is not the first legal trouble for Kingston, as he was previously arrested in California. With ongoing legal battles and serious allegations against him, Kingston’s reputation and career may be at stake.
