Popular Nigerian comedienne, Helen Paul, has sparked a debate on social media after suggesting that women’s salaries should be paid directly to their husbands’ bank accounts.
Taking to Instagram, the comedienne asked for the opinions of other women on this matter.
Paul, who gained popularity for her comedic character “Tatafo” on a radio program in Lagos, has been known for addressing societal issues in a satirical manner.
She released her debut album, “Welcome Party,” in 2012, featuring Afro-Pop songs and singles like “Take It Back.”
In 2018, she also released a single titled “Never Knew,” reflecting on her journey in the entertainment industry. Paul, who holds a doctorate in Theater Arts from the University of Lagos, has received mixed reactions to her suggestion about women’s salaries.
While some women agreed with her proposal, others expressed their disagreement in the comment section.
