Rita explained that in 2001/2002, she made the difficult decision to leave the movie industry and move to London. While some might view her career change as a “step-down” from being an actress, Rita found fulfillment and purpose in her work as a caregiver. She expressed that caring for others brought her joy at a time when she needed it the most.

The actress opened up about the challenges she faced during this period, including the loss of her mother and the distance from her siblings who had also moved to London. Rita admitted that she was losing faith in the slow progress of Nollywood, which led her to make the difficult decision to leave stardom behind.
