Kensington Palace has shut down rumors surrounding Kate Middleton’s health and whereabouts, reaffirming that she is recovering well and will not be returning to public life until after Easter.
The princess underwent a planned abdominal surgery on January 16 at The London Clinic, with a successful outcome. Despite the lack of public announcement before the surgery, it was clarified that Catherine would be out of public duties until after Easter.
Following the surgery, rumors and conspiracy theories began to circulate across the web and in reputable publications. The speculation intensified as the princess had not been seen in public since Christmas Eve.
Additionally, Prince William’s sudden withdrawal from a memorial service fueled further speculation about Catherine’s recovery. Kensington Palace responded by assuring the public that she is “doing well.”
Some concerns arose due to the absence of the couple’s three children during Catherine’s hospital stay, which was attributed to the hospital’s policy. Questions also surfaced regarding the nature of the surgery, but the palace emphasized Catherine’s wish for her medical information to remain private.
Moving forward, Kensington Palace reiterated that updates on the princess’s progress will only be shared when there is significant new information to disclose.
