Blue Ivy Carter joins star-studded cast of ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ prequel

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter, 12-year-old Blue Ivy Carter, is set to make her debut as a voice actress in the upcoming Lion King prequel, “Mufasa: The Lion King.” The film, directed by Barry Jenkins, explores the origin story of Mufasa, played by Aaron Pierre, and his brother Scar, played by Kelvin Harrison Jr.

Blue Ivy will be voicing the character of Kiara, the daughter of King Simba and Queen Nala, with her mother Beyoncé reprising her role in the film. The teaser trailer, unveiled on Good Morning America, gives a glimpse into Mufasa’s transformative journey, building anticipation for the movie’s release.

The star-studded cast also includes Donald Glover as Simba, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Seth Rogan, and Billy Eichner. Lin-Manuel Miranda will be providing original songs for the soundtrack, adding emotional depth to the story.
