Although the TV star is now worth an estimated $3.5 billion, she recently faced health issues related to weight loss medication. Oprah revealed that she had lost around 20kg using medication similar to Ozempic. Despite controversies surrounding the trend, the weight loss drug was approved by the US FDA to treat Type 2 diabetes.
Gayle King shared the news of Oprah’s illness on air, explaining that the 70-year-old was hospitalized due to severe dehydration caused by a stomach flu. While the TV star is now recovering, Gayle emphasized the importance of Oprah taking the time to rest.
