England winger Ollie Hassell-Collins is gearing up for the much-anticipated Six Nations clash against Scotland today.

Known for his bold fashion choices, Hassell-Collins will be flaunting his signature painted nails during the Calcutta Cup showdown at Twickenham.

The 24-year-old made a impactful RFU Championship debut for London Irish in 2018 and played a key role in their promotion to the Premiership in 2019.

Having started his rugby journey at Newbury R.F.C’s youth team, Hassell-Collins has also represented England at under-18 and U20 levels, as well as England Sevens at the 2019 Paris Sevens.

Now, he is set to make his senior international debut against Scotland in the Six Nations.

Known for his love of jewellery, Hassell-Collins opts for painted nails as a substitute for wearing jewellery during games.

Explaining his quirky choice, the rugby star shared on England Rugby’s Instagram page: “I wear quite a lot of jewellery and obviously I can’t wear jewellery in games so I suppose it’s like my permanent jewellery.

“Also, I used to bite my nails so I was painting them clear. I decided to jazz them up a little bit.

What happened at the Six Nations last year?

The 2022 Six Nations saw France clinch the Grand Slam title by winning all five of their matches.

However, Ireland secured the runner-up position with their only defeat coming at the hands of champions France.

England, on the other hand, managed to secure victories against Italy and Wales but finished in third place in the overall standings.
