Born and raised in the heart of Tennessee, U.S. Representative John Rose has been serving in Congress since 2019.
But when he’s not busy representing his home state, John spends his time with his beloved wife, Chelsea. Let’s take a closer look at their beautiful love story.
Chelsea Doss Rose, a native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is the executive director of the Tennessee FFA Foundation. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech University in 2012 and went on to complete her master’s degree at the University of Tennessee in 2014.
Chelsea’s journey with the FFA began when she was appointed a national FFA officer in 2009 and has been deeply involved with the organization ever since.
Described by Tennessee Tech University as the “fresh face of today’s FFA,” Chelsea’s dedication to agriculture has been remarkable. After joining the FFA officially in 2014, she briefly took a break in 2017 before returning to the organization in 2021.
While the exact details of how John and Chelsea met remain a mystery, it is clear that John played a significant role in Chelsea’s FFA journey. Chelsea herself acknowledged John’s support by saying, “John has made everything possible that I’ve done in FFA beyond high school. Through the scholarship he provides, I’ve been able to focus on school and FFA without the need for a job.”
The couple exchanged vows on January 8, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Cookeville, Tennessee. Since then, they have welcomed two sons into their lives. Guy, their eldest, was born on October 7, 2017, followed by their youngest, Sam, on March 23, 2021.
Guy recently garnered attention for making goofy faces while his father was delivering a speech at the House podium. John later shared the amusing moment on Twitter, showcasing the bond between him and his son.
As John continues his work in Congress, Chelsea remains a pillar of support for him and their family, balancing her role as an executive director at the FFA while caring for their two young sons.
