Popular MATCH of the Day 2 host Mark Chapman has entered a new chapter in his life with a newfound romance following the tragic death of his wife.
Mark, affectionately known as Chappers, who is 50 years old, has reportedly been dating estate agent Clere Collier for several months now.
This new relationship marks Mark’s first since the heartbreaking loss of his wife Sara, who passed away from cancer in 2020 at the age of 44.
Clere Collier, a 43-year-old mother of two, has previously been linked with pop singer Dane Bowers and is currently based in Dubai. Leveraging her contacts in Dubai, Clere actively invests in the property market in London and frequently travels to the UK for business as well as to spend time with Mark in Manchester, where he is anchored as a BBC broadcaster.
A source close to the couple revealed, “It’s early days but Mark and Clere are in a good place and enjoying each other’s company. Mark’s focus has always been his children and work, so a relationship was unexpected. He and Clere are taking things slow and just seeing how it all plays out, but it’s clear to see they are really into each other.”
Mark, a father of three, has established himself as a prominent figure in sports broadcasting. Aside from hosting Match of the Day 2 for over a decade, he is a regular presenter on Radio 5 Live and occasionally fills in for Gary Lineker on Match of the Day. Additionally, Mark fronts Sky Sports’ Carabao Cup coverage and is known for his work on NFL coverage.
Having previously worked with Sara Cox on Radio 1’s Breakfast Show and Scott Mills on Radio 1’s Newsbeat, Mark’s career has been illustrious and highly respected in the industry.
