Challengers, the highly-anticipated sports and romance movie, is set to premiere in April 2024. As eager fans eagerly await the release, many are curious about where the film was shot.

According to Country & Town House, Challengers was filmed in Boston, as well as other Massachusetts towns, from May 3 to June 26, 2022. The filming locations included Bedford, Beverly, Braintree, Canton, Framingham, Lynn, and Norton. Specific details were kept under wraps to avoid disruptions from fans and paparazzi.

Star cast members Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist shared their experiences of filming in Boston during a virtual press conference at The Maybourne Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, California. O’Connor revealed that watching the Boston Marathon inspired him to create a Spotify playlist for his character in the film. Faist mentioned that he and O’Connor spent a lot of time getting to know each other in Boston before filming, which helped them form a strong on-screen connection.

Challengers stars Zendaya as Tashi Donaldson, O’Connor as Patrick Zweig, and Faist as Art Donaldson. The film follows the story of a former tennis prodigy turned coach who must help her husband overcome a losing streak while facing off against his former best friend.

The first official trailer for Challengers was released on June 20, 2023, and has received over six million views on YouTube. The second trailer, shared on February 21, 2024, has also garnered over six million views on social media platforms.

Challengers is scheduled for release in theaters across the US on Friday, April 26, 2024, promising an exciting blend of sports and romance for fans to enjoy.
