Chip and Joanna Gaines have made a triumphant return to television with their beloved home renovation series, Fixer Upper.
After the original show aired from 2014 to 2018, the couple revived the series in 2021 with several spin-offs on their new channel, Magnolia Network. Now, they are embarking on their biggest project yet in Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse.
In this special edition season, Chip and Joanna are taking on the challenge of transforming a 1960s midcentury modern lakehouse retreat near Lake Waco, Texas. This marks their 10-year Fixer Upper anniversary project, showcasing their expertise in home design and renovation.
While the couple is staying close to their central operations in Waco, Texas, Lake Waco offers a picturesque backdrop for their latest endeavor. Located on the west side of Waco, Lake Waco is a man-made reservoir that provides water to several cities in the area. The surrounding neighborhood features a range of homes, from affordable bungalows to million-dollar lakefront mansions.
Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse promises to be a departure from the modern farmhouse style that the Gaines’ popularized in the original series. Viewers can expect to see surprising, unique, and eclectic design choices, as Chip and Joanna tackle the challenge of restoring this mid-century gem to its former glory.
The show will air on both HGTV and the Magnolia Network, giving fans the opportunity to watch the transformation unfold. Premiering on Sunday, June 2, 2024, Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse will consist of six episodes, each showcasing a different aspect of the renovation process. For those who prefer streaming, the show will also be available on Max and Discovery+.
With their track record of success in previous renovations, Chip and Joanna Gaines are sure to wow audiences once again with Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse.
