Well, it was a shock as not one but two celebrities were eliminated from the show.
Roxy Shahidi and her partner Sylvain Longchambon were the first to go, having received the fewest public votes.
Following them out of the competition was Lou Sanders, despite a valiant effort in the skate-off.
And who left the judges feeling a little underwhelmed with their performances? Roxy and Sylvain, scoring 24.5 points, received criticism from the judges and were said to have come up a little short in their routine. The drama didn’t end there, with another celebrity sent home.
The next two lowest scoring pairs were forced to compete in a skate-off to stay in the competition.
Ultimately, Ricky Norwood was saved, and Lou Sanders had to say goodbye to the show.
Remember each episode sees at least one star skater leaving the competition, with the previous weeks seeing the exit of Claire Sweeney, Colin Grafton, Hannah Spearritt, and Andy Buchanan.
The dance-off was the end of the road for Lou Sanders, but she took it all in her stride, admitting, “It’s all about never giving up so we’ll be back next week. I’ve had the absolute time of my life, thank you.”
So what does this mean for the remainder of the competition?
