Renowned fashion stylist and creative director, Trendy Rail, has raised concerns about a concerning trend in the music and entertainment industry that is putting stylists under financial strain.
During an appearance on The Chat on Channel One TV, hosted by Ekow Koomson, Trendy Rail expressed her dismay over the practice of artists throwing costumes into the crowd during performances.
While this may seem like a fun interaction with fans, Trendy Rail highlighted the significant cost, both financially and professionally, that this trend incurs on stylists who work tirelessly behind the scenes to create these looks.
Referencing an incident involving Sarkodie at his 2022 Rapperholic concert, Trendy Rail revealed that the artist threw a designer jacket worth £3,000 to £4,000 into the crowd. This loss was particularly painful considering the effort that went into selecting the garment, which could have cost even more if it was custom-made.
As a highly respected stylist known for her innovation and attention to detail, Trendy Rail has worked with top artists such as Sarkodie, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, and Kidi. She has also styled prominent figures like media personality Anita Erskine.
